Woven Wire Mesh
Six gauge woven wire in a 2″ x 2″ square mesh is the strongest, sturdiest mesh that we keep in stock. Many government facilities view our woven wire mesh as the strongest and most reliable in the industry for use in their areas requiring heightened security and control. It’s quite common to see our mesh used in import and export areas worldwide.
Eight gauge woven wire in a 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ square is a strong mesh and is used when a smaller opening is required. Some projects will specify a 9 gauge chain link fence for an indoor project, and we will recommend this eight gauge wire mesh as a superior substitution.
Our ten gauge woven wire in a 3/4″ x 3/4″ square mesh was requested by some of our best pharmaceutical customers. The 3/4″ square mesh is used by drug companies in their storage facilities because small pill bottles cannot pass thru the wire mesh. Also, liquor distribution companies, which supply airlines with small liquor bottles, use our mesh for their high security purposes. Computer server companies have also used the 3/4″ mesh for top security in server cages, enclosures, and in colocation facilities.
WireCrafters twelve gauge woven wire in a 1/2″ x 1/2″ square mesh is commonly requested by the government. The 1/2″ square mesh has been used by the Federal Reserve for monetary storage purposes. A U.S. dime, being the smallest coin, cannot pass thru this size of wire mesh. We also provide this size mesh for use as machine guarding where it prevents small machined parts from being thrown into personnel or expensive equipment.
Welded Wire Mesh
With WireCrafters welded wire mesh, the wires are welded together at every wire intersection. Welded wire mesh is lighter because the wires are not crimped as in woven wire mesh; therefore it utilizes less wire. With every wire welded to the next, cut outs can be made and the mesh never loses its shape.
Ten gauge welded wire in a 2″ x 2″ square mesh is our most popular mesh. We use this welded wire mesh across our line of wire partition products including general storage cages, tenant storage lockers, RackBack® Safety Panels, and pallet rack enclosures. This welded wire mesh is strong and very practical for wire partition products.
Ten gauge welded wire in a 1 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ rectangular mesh is used in our machine guarding and perimeter guarding products. This mesh meets the RIA (Robotic Institute of America) standards.
